Dialogue on Race and Racism in Higher Education

What: In light of recent conflicts at UCSD involving incidents of racism directed towards students of color and the continued under-representation of students and faculty of color in higher education, this forum is designed to address these issues and open up a dialogue with City College students. As City College students seek to transfer to institutions of higher learning such as UCSD and SDSU, this forum is also designed to support students in their efforts to overcome institutional and social barriers and achieve success.

Where: San Diego City College Room D121A/B (Just north of the cafeteria in the D building, also known as the faculty lounge)

When: Thursday, 11:30-1:30

Who: This forum is open to all City Students, faculty, and administration. There will be a panel of speakers (UCSD student/faculty representatives have been invited). Students and faculty will also be invited to participate in an open discussion.

Instructors are encouraged to bring their students
